We are in the process of finalizing our Lowes Hometown Grant. We were awarded $50,000 last summer to completely renovate the Media Center at our school. We are putting the final touches on this and hope to advertise our new wonderful space as soon as possible. We are very grateful to Lowes for giving us this opportunity. The project was called "Renovating Our World of Innovation and Imagination".
We would like to thank everyone who came out and supported our fall book fair. The money that was raised will help to purchase new books and supplies for our makerspaces in the Media Center.
We are in the process of starting makerspaces. Makerspaces allow students to participate in hands on projects that will encourage them to use their creativity and engineering skills to become more innovative. It allows them to use their higher order thinking skills and produce projects that test their ideas, while discovering new ways of doing things. Thanks again for your continued support of MPES!
